(INTRO)
Did you know that one of the top preferences among international travelers is getting a good night's rest? To provide international business customers with the optimal space to work, sleep or relax during long overseas flights, United Airlines unveiled details of its new business class seat that reclines to a 180 degree, lie-flat bed more than 6 feet, 4 inches long.
Graham Atkinson, United executive vice president and chief customer officer, says the company is responding to customer needs.

THE NEW INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SEAT IS COMPLETELY LIE-FLAT, ALMOST TWO FEET WIDE AND ADJUSTS TO A BROAD RANGE OF POSITIONS. EACH SEAT ALSO OFFERS AUDIO AND VIDEO ON-DEMAND AND A WIDESCREEN FLAT-PANEL MONITOR. THESE IMPROVEMENTS WERE BASED ON EXTENSIVE RESEARCH WITH FREQUENT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS TRAVELERS AND TRAVEL EXPERTS.

The company will become the first U.S. airline to offer fully flat seats in first and business class cabins on all international widebody aircraft.
